The Competent Photographer Course
This course will enable you to gain the skills required to create, plan and manage your own photography projects.
Written and directed by some of the best working photographers and qualified tutors, this in-depth practical course is ideal for photography enthusiasts of all levels wishing to have a solid foundation of photography knowledge and know-how.
This course starts from the Foundations of Photography and combines a variety of specialized sessions with a step by step process and practice that builds up real skills. You will recieve personal feedback about your photographs, tips and methods on how to improve it and ways to present it.
Designed around three face to face online classes and two specialist online sessions via Zoom Meeting Platform, you will be able to complete the competent photographer course at your own pace, within three to six months.
Course Content
Complete Foundation of Photography (4 hrs) - includes beginner and intermediate courses to master the principles of photography and feel at ease with your Camera, Focus, Exposure and Composition.
Developing post-production editing skills (3 hrs) - enhance your images to achieve a professional quality, use global adjustments and organise your photos using advanced file management techniques, using Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom.
Food and Product Photography session (3 hrs) - experience the many techniques that are part of shooting food/products from styling to post production. Identify and resolve challenges - how different foods, textures and products respond to different types of light, when to use natural and when to use artificial light.
Landscapes and Travel Photography (2 hrs) - learn everything you need to know to plan and set up your shoots, carry out composition analysis, in the right places and times of day. Capture breathtaking landscapes & travel imagery that will sell and provide you with lifelong memories.
Access to after-course support: After the course, we are available to provide a helping hand as you continue to navigate the fascinating, ever-changing world of photography.
Competent Photography Course Certificate:
Upon complition, you will receive a digital certificate stating your successful completion of the Competent Photography Course.
