Intermediate Photography and Portraiture Course
Step up your photography skills to the next level by using advanced photography and composition techniques.
The course explores advanced camera functions, and you will gain an in depth understanding on exposure in a range of lighting conditions, elements of good composition, flash, maximizing the capability of the lens and various creative techniques.
In this interactive course you will be able to ask questions throughout the course and have opportunities for hands on practice.
Course Content
This photography course normally runs from 6:30pm to 8.30pm with opportunities for Q&A throughout the course.
The Course Covers:
- Exposure in depth, getting into manual exposure.
- Understanding correct exposure using Histograms
- How to use flash to control contrast
- The three ways of controlling Depth of Field
- Manual Focus vs Auto Focus
- How to control Light to achieve different portraiture effects
- Daylight, LED lighs and speedlights
- Use of Bracketing
- Composition - utilising creative and technical knowledge
- Discussing the purpose of Photoshop and retouching portraits
These 2 hour workshop will equipt you with advanced camera skills and techniques and take your photography skills to the next level.

Requirements: Digital SLR Camera or Mirrorless Camera with full manual controls.
