The Professional Photographer Course
This program is specifically designed for anyone wanting to become a professional photographer, with unparalleled training and personal attention throughout the program.
Written and directed by some of the best working photographers and qualified tutors, this course is ideal for beginners, intermediate, and anyone wishing to gain the knowledge and skills required for a career as a professional photographer.
The course starts from the Foundations of Photography and combines a variety of specialized sessions including portrait, event and commercial photography, with post production tasks, portfolio building and career coaching.
You will receive personal feedback about your photographs, ways to present it, and how to gain an inside view into the photography market that will help you create a wide range of work possibilities.
Course Content
Designed around four face to face online classes and four advanced online sessions via Zoom Meeting Platform, you will be able to complete the professional photographer course at your own pace, within three to six months.
1. Complete Foundation of Photography (4 hrs) - includes beginner and intermediate courses to master the principles of photography and feel at ease with your Camera, Focus, Exposure and Composition.
2. Developing post-production editing skills (3 hrs) - enhance your images to achieve a professional quality, use global adjustments and organise your photos using advanced file management techniques, using Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom.
3. Portraits and Lighting session (3 hrs)- learn how to take remarkable portraits, control the light to achieve different effects whether using daylight, studio lights or speed lights.
4. Food and Product Photography session (3 hrs) - experience the many techniques that are part of shooting food/products from styling to post production. Identify and resolve challenges - how different foods, textures and products respond to different types of light, when to use natural and when to use artificial light.
5. Portfolio Building for Photographers session (3 hrs) - launch a website to showcase your work, defining your branding, understand what makes a good website and search engine optimisation.
6. Career Coaching Session One to One (2 hrs) - the steps to establish yourself as a photographer, understand the photography market, develop your marketing strategy, handling pricing and invoicing.
After-course support: This course is designed to support every student at every stage of their career. After the course, we are available to provide a helping hand as you continue to navigate the fascinating, ever-changing world of photography.
Professional Photography Course Certificate:
Upon complition, you will receive a digital certificate stating your successful completion of the Professional Photography Course.
Although our Certificate of Accomplishment is not an accredited academic qualification, as a Professional Photographer, the only “accreditation” you will need is a very strong portfolio of images and this is what we will help you to build.
